Me in a nutshell

There is not allot to say about me but I’m a proud Canadian from the wonderful Capitol. No its not Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver it is the beautiful city of Ottawa. We might be small but we are beautiful. I grew up in a small Franco-Ontarian
town (french speaking people from the Provence of Ontario) 20 minutes east of the capitol but no one ever knows where that is so i just say Ottawa not to confuse others. I’m also a chef. Traveling is hard with in my line of work because of the long hours and life expenses.

I was bit by the travel bug at a young age for mostly road trip. like 18 hour long road trips to see my grandparents who live three provinces over. Cape-Breton, Nova Scotia in the maritime/East Coast. We also go down to Toronto quite often to visit more family. My world travel bug bit me when i was 16 when I had the wonderful opportunity to travel on a ten day trip to Italy and Grace with about hundred other students and teachers. I also had this wonderful opportunity to go work in the UK. I’ll be posting about it and sharing my experience. Ever since then I’m hocked on travel and I hope that I get to visit more country’s and I hope that I get to inspire you to travel and give you some of my tips and tricks.

My passion in life

Well, we all love to do things like for example I love to read and paint. But a passion is more of a love and more of a hunger for something not in the little sense of eating but exploring and learning.

My passion for cooking and becoming a chef is really corny and boring but it really started when I was young and helping my mother out in the kitchen for dinner and big family gathering. My mother is one of eight children and I’m one of twenty grandchildren (that’s only on my mother’s side of the family). I also remember sitting ate my grand-mothers kitchen table helping here cut biscuits and making shortbread cookies at Christmas. she lives far away like a two-day drive or eighteen-hour drive none stop so I would see her many once or twice a year. still to but skype and messenger help a lot. But know me living in England for a will the time zone difference is even worse. enough about that sappy stuff. I also remember making a plan with my younger cousins to open our restaurant together and that gave me more passion to cook and study to become a chef.

My a passion for traveling came out of watching an amazing movie called Eat Pray Love and then when I was 16 at the time I got the opportunity to travel to Italy and Grec with 100 other high schoolers for ten days. that was the first time I went out of the country ever and it was by my self well no parent. I had all ways done trips to my grandparent or aunts and uncles but always in Canada. That trip was amazing and it gave me the travel bug if you could say and my hunger to visit and learn a new culture and their food.

So that is how I found my passion by having a deeper love for something. I hope you can find your hunger in something as well and if it happens to be cooking or traveling like me welcome aboard and don’t be afraid to fill your passport.
